Classification of Microchip PICs:
Microchip currently models are classified into three major families, each with several references. These families are:
■ Base-line: the instructions are coded on 12 bits.
■ mid-line: the instructions are coded on 14 bits.
■ High-End: The instructions are 16-bit.
